The videos below show his first moments at Tana Monastery on February 11, 2022. After 35 hours of travel and several covid PCR tests, Rinpoche received a very warm welcome from his monks and family at Tana Monastery! Although he arrived early in the morning, word had gotten out and some local laypeople came to greet him (not shown fully in video). He’s being careful: he’ll remain in isolation for 5 days in a room at the monastery. Then, he will get results from the final PCR test. He’ll be at the Monastery for Losar, his sister’s wedding, and giving many teachings to the monks, as well as pujas and blessings. The Tibetan camp representatives have already visited to show their appreciation to Rinpoche for providing funds for vaccines (a gift from Malaysia sangha).
Rinpoche will give the monthly sangha teaching to his English-speaking, international sangha from India on March 12th at 9am MST. Dates for April and May have yet to be announced. If you are on the TYF mailing list, you will receive the announcements and links.
