An Opportunity for Mahamudra and Dzogchen Teachings in a Small Group Setting

Tana Rinpoche will give a weekend teaching on Working with Obstacles in Mahamudra/Dzogchen Practice. The teaching will be in the Boulder, Colorado, area on December 8-9, 2018. To reserve a space or to get more info, please Use the Contact Form on this Page (right side bar or at bottom), or alternatively Contact Us Here and put “December 2018 Teachings” as the subject line. We will send updated information on the location of the teaching as soon as it is available.

Tana Dungsey Rinpoche:

“After practicing Dzogchen for awhile, we might discover that Dzogchen is not as easy as we’d hoped. Sometimes obstacles arise. Sometimes we feel stuck. It is also the case that working with obstacles is going to be different for each meditator.”

This is where an intimate setting, such as a small group with a highly qualified lama, becomes invaluable.

Tsoknyi Rinpoche has encouraged his students to receive teachings from Tana Dungsey Rinpoche. You can access a short video clip of Tsoknyi Rinpoche describing Tana Dungsey Rinpoche here:

Tana Dungsey Rinpoche is the head of the Yelpa Kagyu lineage and the Abbot of the Tana Monastery in India. After many years of teaching in India, Malaysia and Indonesia and with strong support and encouragement from Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Tana Dungsey Rinpoche has recently begun teaching in Colorado and New York.

On December 8th and 9th, Tana Rinpoche will be offering small group teachings and meditation instructions in the Boulder area on Working with Obstacles:

  • Saturday (December 8) Morning:  Group meditation followed by Rinpoche teaching and answering questions
  • Saturday Afternoon: Individual meditation instruction with Tana Dungsey Rinpoche
  • Sunday (December 9) Morning: Meditation followed by Rinpoche teaching and answering questions
  • Sunday Afternoon:  Meditation, closing comments from Rinpoche and Dedication

Rinpoche requests those attending to attend both days.

Cost:  Rinpoche doesn’t want to charge for this. At the closing there will be an opportunity for dana or heart offerings to be given to Rinpoche.

Prerequisite: These teachings and instructions will be geared toward students who have had pointing out from qualified masters such as Tsoknyi Rinpoche and who would like to further their understanding of how to resolve issues that impede their progress.

We will preserve the small group setting by limiting the number of participants on a first come, first served basis. To learn more and to reserve a space, please use the Contact Form and put “December 2018 Teachings” in the subject line.
