Bodhicitta: Path of Compassion and Wisdom
May 19-21, 2023
with Tana Dungsey Rinpoche

In person in Boulder, CO, and by Zoom

“In order for us to survive, and in order for us to achieve the ultimate goal of enlightenment, compassion is the key thing. It is the single most important thing.”
– Tana Dungsey Rinpoch

On the path to enlightenment, we need to cultivate a fresh mind, undistracted by illusory seductions. To help accomplish this, Thogme Sangpo, in the 14th century, wrote “The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva” – practices that beautifully orient us to the aspiration to put others first. It became one of the most famous texts on how to develop the kindness that is fundamental to Buddhist practice. Here we find a comprehensive list of distractions and their antidotes. For newer students, this introduces the nature of the path and the pitfalls that distract us. For more senior students, this retreat will enhance our moment-to-moment mindfulness of obstacles that hinder our practices; and increase our awareness of the basic ground of natural mind.

Clayton Ingerson will provide translation support.
