Dedicated to the Yelpa Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism

Course on the Bodhicharyavatara by Shantideva, Winter 2024-2025

Six Session Online Course with Tana Rinpoche.

Shantideva’s Way of the Bodhisattva has been studied, since the 8th century. It is a revered text that, with its universal truth as a path of compassion, can be enjoyed by Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. Rinpoche will explain the mind of a bodhisattva, the steps to begin, to maintain — not fall back, and to grow the aspiration and engagement of relative and absolute bodhicitta in one’s heart and mind.

The mind of a bodhisattva is vast and filled with compassion. This text is considered a manual for the development of relative and absolute bodhicitta. It offers a universal path of compassion and wellbeing.

In this six session online course, Tana Dungsey Rinpoche will explain:

  • More details about the mind of a bodhisattva
  • Specific steps to begin on this path to realize the mind of a bodhisattva
  • How we maintain our footing and not fall back
  • How we grow the aspiration and engagement of relative and absolute bodicitta in our own heart and mind

Translation support for Rinpoche will be provided by Clayton Ingerson.

Students who complete the 6 online classes will receive a Certificate of Completion signed by Tana Rinpoche.
