At the Tana Monastery, 80 monks—some as young as five—devote their lives to prayer, meditation, and study, offering blessings for the well-being of all. Now, we have an opportunity to support and protect them in return! We’re raising $20,000 to build a secure boundary wall that will safeguard their sanctuary and allow uninterrupted spiritual practice.
A generous donor has offered to match every dollar you donate, up to $10,000.
OUR GOAL, US$ 20,000
Why This Matters
Presently there is no effective boundary. Wild elephants and wild boars have been seen on the grounds. Tourists and other random people sometimes wander through. The wall will provide:
- A Safe and Protected Sanctuary: This will ensure privacy and safety for daily life, study and retreat.
- Protection from Wildlife: A strong wall will keep both wildlife and monks safe
- A Peaceful Retreat Environment: A secure boundary will prevent disturbances from tourists and safeguard construction sites.
Every donation—large or small, brings us closer to creating a safe and protected home for these dedicated practitioners!

This is what a fully funded, reinforced, barrier or boundary wall will prevent! Cement, rock, rebar, iron…amazing animals!
